fucking tasers

for the record the poor Polish man (Robert Dziekanski) that got killed in the Vancouver airport was/did not:
- mentally ill.
- drunk.
- threaten police officers with a knife.

He was however:
- Confused and in the airport for 10 hours.
- Had a plastic chair that he put down when officers approached him.
- Killed. As in dead. As in sorry your life is over.

I find it amazing how people casually brush this shit off. It really does show how little we value human life that isn't our own.
Anyhow you can watch the video yourself and come to your own conclusion.
I think these 4 cops should be made an example of and all be thrown in jail for a year each.

It should not require the use of a taser in order for 4 men to take down a single man in a secured room, who has no weapon, nor can harm anyone within a 10 meter radius.

The real reason why Police use tasers because it is a form of excessive force that they can legally get away with. If they stuck by their traditional methods of billy clubbing people into submission (like they should when deemed necessary) then the number of excessive force cases would sky rocket (because they generally do). Bruises and marks look a lot worst in the courtroom then a small red mark from being tased.

Anyhow take away all tasers. My suggestion was some sort of net gun. Between pepper spray, a billy club, handcuffs and a fucking gun, these assholes have more then enough weapons at their disposal to "dispense justice".

The now famous "dont tase me bro" incident is another prime example of mindless cops using excessive force in situations where it is clearly not required.

If police officers insist that they must keep their tasers, then they should have to get tased once a month in order to help remind themselves what kind of force they themselves are administering upon people, and at the very least it will toughen them up a bit.

Anyhow comments, and discussion is greatly appreciated.
