sunday
dont have anything to post. tired, sleepy from wine, food and reading.
my internet connection has been slow and painful lately.
I can't think of anything to write myself so I give you a poem from canadian great, Al Purdy.
-all wavery yellow and gold things
shining-across-the-windows-of summer things
remind me of you
as well as old cliches about oil and water
however true
remind me also of the enormous load
of information and so-called wisdom
accumulated from the human past
which supplies no hint
or memory bank of ways and means
by which a man and woman
may live together
in a rented room
and looking back and ahead in all directions
notice nothing
except each other
except their fever
except their dying
as time continues
forever
later I explain my fascination with all things "canadiana", and the development of the German political system post WWII.
oh and if you are missing mail, like i am. this might explain it.
