What the fuck Canada?

Ok the French have cafe's, the Germans have beer gardens, the English have pubs, Japanesse have kareoke bars, and the americans have fast food.

Where does that leave us Canadians? Drinking beside a maple tree? A combination of all of the above? I believe Canadians need to establish our own unique, hangout, drinking type thing.

Who gets the $$ this coming American Election?

I haven't posted anything in quite sometime, have been spending far too much time fucking around, as well I've rediscovered reading books, rather then reading countless articles on the internet.
Anyhow I came across this website, and I was looking at party donations, which companies donate what, to whom? What would these companies benefit from a democrat or republican government? I point out the ones that predominatly donate to George Bush and the Republican party, not because the Dems are fucking saints, but just because all of the Reps big donors are bad mother fuckers, while dems donors are generally more boring people like electricians and teamsters. Here is some interesting fucking shit, these are a few Highlights. Click on the company name for more details:

1. Associate General Contractors - The association lobbies on a number of issues, focusing primarily on lessening federal regulations and lowering taxes. Most recently, the group has been pushing for a terrorism insurance bill that would protect companies from liability in the event of further terrorist attacks.

2. Andersen - Now convicted of obstruction of justice in the Enron case, Andersen has lost its clients, staff and reputation. In the past, Andersen lobbied Congress against any regulation of its industry, including a ban on accountants acting as consultants to the same companies they audited. Andersen was both Enron’s auditor and its consultant. Andersen is the collective name for Arthur Andersen and the international firms that were part of Andersen Worldwide SC. Donated $1,091,424 to the Bush campaign in 2000, and only $461,836 to Gore.

3. Bristol-Myers Squibb - This company has lobbied against efforts to add a prescription drug benefit to Medicare, to expand generic drug use, and to allow importation of cheaper pharmaceuticals from Canada.

4. National Resteraunt Association - The association lobbies on virtually every issue affecting the restaurant industry: It supports an increase in the business meal tax deduction (the association’s Web site says “business meals make business deals”) and opposes giving restaurant owners the burden of enforcing tip reporting laws. It was part of the business-backed Health Benefits Coalition that opposed the Patients’ Bill of Rights; it supports class action reform as a way to reduce what it calls frivolous lawsuits; and it opposes increases in the minimum wage.

5. Enron - We all know the bastards at Enron but before they went tits up they were lobbying issues like: health care reform, electricity deregulation and free trade with China. Donations to Reps/Dems in 2000 = $1,793,154/$741,669. Fuckers in 2004 = $17,650/$16,204

6. Eli Lilly & Co - The inventors of Prozac. They keep throwing money at the Republican party because they support drug patent laws. These patent laws are the reason why drugs are very expensive in the U.S.A, and why pharmacutical companies are some of the richest companies in the world. GlaxoSmithKline - similar to above. Pfizer - The inventors of Viagra.

7. Exxon Mobil / ChevronTexaco - These companies deal with oil so I'm sure you can figure that out. Highlight for ChevronTexaco, the proposal to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. They drew too much attention doing that kind of shit when this administration was called "the Reagan Administration".

8. UST Inc / Philip Morris a.k.a The Altria Group / The fucking N.R.A. - What can we say about these 3 winners? Well they love making money off of giving everyone cancer and shooting things.

ok fuck this is taking way too long. Other key Republican donors consist of crooked finance companies, weapon manufactures, and many other evil bastards. Have a look yourself: HERE.

So what have we learned? That there is a serious conflict of interest in the American political system as a result to party donations. Economics will always undermine the political policies of a nation in a capitalistic society.
